DRUMS OF AFRICA - 7" PROMO - PREVIEW RECORDS - 1963... In the 1950's and 60's, drive-in theatres would sometimes play this type of record over their sound system during the intermission of a double feature to promote a future film coming to the theatre... This particular 7" record is in VG++ condition, one sided, and it plays at 33 1/3 RPM... It features an announcer giving a brief description of the movie plot, stars of the film, director, etc... He then suggests that movie patrons come to the refreshment stand to buy popcorn, candy, soft drinks, etc... In addition to this, there is a Frankie Avalon music excerpt of ("River Love")... The record has two different spots : a long version (outside track) and a short version (inside track)...
